i can't answer your question, but i'm just curious... is the damage such that replacing the entire lid cheaper than repairing the damage to the existing lid?

from what i can tell, the trunk lid will not fit properly after a repair. I meant it bent inward and cracked the plastic underneath it. since insurance is paying for it but i just want to find a cheaper one to save money you know. estimated 836 bucks.. but 500 deductible... so only 336 dollars left to spend.

Paint it. (Seriously) I wouldn't be suprised if the Seibon trunk lid is still cheaper than one from Nissan.
