Default Question about mp3 jack

Although I don't have a Nissan 350z yet, I am VERY sure that this will be the next car I get. I want to go with a 2003-2005 model (the oil consumption problem makes me nervous). I really want one with a mp3 jack/aux input so I can hook up my mp3 player to it and not be bothered with cd's anymore. So my question is this, which models (if any) on a 2003-2005 350z come with one?

None, nada, not one, absolutely zilch. You'd have to buy a unit that mimics the CD changer/satellite connection. With minimal searching, you'll find what you're looking for.

I had a USA-SPEC unit on mine and it was a little clunky to use, but the sound was as good as you can get with an MP3 player.

i wonder why they included a cassette deck on these cars.. i think they pretty much quit making cassette tapes before the 2003.. lol
but mp3 players have been around for a while now.. it boggles me why they didn't put a input jack in instead.. oh well we shall never know..

its kinda funny tho.. in my 2003 z.. i dont think the cassette player has been used once

Default Aww

Oh well, this isn't going to stop me from buying this amazing car. I just hated using that FM transmitter (they really sound like crap!). I guess I'll go with an aftermarket option. Thanks

How good does the stock system sound? If it sounds good, I might just keep burning cd's.

The stock system isn't that great unless it is the upgraded Bose system. Even then it is not the greatest. Since it is a roadster, I am nervous about changing it for something someone might want to steal LOL

I may be the only person the world that is happy with the basic stock system. It works fine and I have had no problems with it. Since I don't have the Bose system, I don't have the cassette player, I just have the CD player. The stock system is ok with me.

I have the Bose system in my Roadster and use a cassette adapter to connect my ipod into the system. The sound quality is a couple of notches less than playing a CD, but better than an old school cassette and about a hundred times better than the FM style adapters. The one I have is made by AVB and cost about $12. It has a cord with an ipod plug that reels in and out of the unit, so it is very convent to use. The basic seek, scan, forward/reverse controls on the head unit control the ipod functions.

All right guys, two more questions? Lol. #1, would I be able to get this cassette adapter at the same place I bought my terrible FM transmitter(radio shack, wal-mart, ect)? #2. Which models (if any) have steering wheel stereo controls?
