Default Winter driving with top down?

Ok as my sig says I have a 07 roadster Touring. I know it's August and the temps during the day are anywhere from 60 to 90+ but a friend from Fla made a comment about coming up here to Maine and wanting to go for a ride. She normally comes up in the winter which made me think why not drop the top on a sunny day and go . I'm not concerned about the affects of the cold on me as I have done 90mph on sled across a lake so I know it wouldn't be colder than that. Only thought is would folding the top down in 20 to 30 degree weather be bad for it? Also the shock effect on the peoples faces as I go by would be f-ing awesome.

Why not? I have a rag top and if dropping the top in the winter (As long as all the salt and dirt is cleaned off it) won't hurt it I see no reason not to enjoy the experiance. The cold doesn't bother me one bit I'm just concerned the top may suffer from it.

I doubt the rag top will operate in those temperatures. I know mine says "ICY" if it is too cold and it won't let you use it

If she's from Fl., she won't appreciate it, unless she's from the frozen wasteland of the north!

Top won't operate right in cold weather. Read your manual and look around here for posts about that.

Drop the top in the winter?
Why not!
The only thing that you want to be remember is never lower
a convert top when the top is wet.You will have wrinkles that will never come out.

I put my top down this December a few times. Of course, it was in the upper 50's.

Anything above about 50 and my top is down. But, in really cold whether? My leather will get freezer burn.
