Default wind noise

Since I picked up my roadster, there has been a lot of wind noise. I hear a lot of noise coming from the point where the driver's door window meets the roof at the back. Is this normal? Can dealers fix it?

That's a tough call. I own a half dozen convertibles and have alway owned convertibles and wind noise comes with the territory, But, the Z is the quietest convertible I have ever owned. If you have never owned a convertible it will sound louder than a hardtop. Maybe you are coming from a different frame of reference. But, the fun starts when the top is down, that's what it's all about. So, whats a little wind noise. Also you are in Canada and when it's windy outside and you are driving at 50-70mph (kpm) you will get wind noise. Enjoy the Z.

Thanks for the reply. I previously had a BMW 3 series convertible. There was no wind noise whatsoever. You're right though - - the fun will start with the top down.

I have wind noise at that same location and it is very intermittent. For example, I can be cruising at 80 and barely notice anything at times when there isn't much cross wind out there. Other times when it is windy, it can be rather loud. I don't think you have anything unusual going on. When you take into account how much overhang there is with the top, it isn't surprising there is some turbulence and noise. I will say that I drove my son's RSX last night and was surprised that his car is no quieter than my convertible, and I was hearing wind noise in the same places I hear it in my convertible! It isn't as quiet as our Maxima is (or Lexus was) but I don't expect it to be. And it certainly isn't so bad I can't live with it. More often than not, it is a very quiet ride.
