Exclamation Is the coupe really THAT much faster than the roadster?

Just bought the most beautiful 04' Z Roadster Touring. I was reading on a lot of the forums and YouTube that the coupe version was faster. My question is, is this a HUGE difference? Most people say the coupe is faster but the margin is so small it's not worth comprising the ability to go top down for. But I wanted to get your opinions.

200+ lbs difference is something I can feel. Another thing is the lower chassis rigidity.

The coupe is slightly faster than the roadster. There is about a 200 pound difference but it isn't really a big deal. Enjoy your Roadster and don't worry about it.

Yes, thanks. I absolutely love my Z! Also I have noticed that the 35th Aniversary Z coupe is just as slow as the 04' Roadster in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. So looks like to me before the later HR model years (06'+) 350z's were quite the mixed bag when it comes to performance and my 04' Roadster fits right in!

It really only shows up at the racetrack. That's where any extra weight and lower handling limits come into play. Enjoy your ZR!

Also the ZR has a slightly taller final drive to compensate.
Enjoy your roadster, I just changed out my 06 top. If you need advice or instructions lmk

Default If you're car is an automatic & the other guy has a 6spd-You'll be quicker !!!

Because after many years drag racing I learned that except for a VERY FEW Z owners, the other 99% drive like chit.... So don't worry
