Default 2007 - windows open but seats do not move = Top won't open.

#1
So recently, the top stopped opening.... I push the button to open the top and the windows roll down before the sequence stops. I am thinking it may be the computer control unit but wanted other opinions..

If the windows are all the way down when I push the top open button, I hear a click but The seats do not move so I am thinking a sensor somewhere is not working if the issue is not the control module.

The seats both work at the switches (slide and recline) also I have confirmed the switches on the back of the passenger seats work properly and have temporarily bypassed the cancel button on the back of the passenger seat to eliminate it being defective.

Any suggestions on what sensor I should check next of if need to obtain a copy fo the RF manual and try to troubleshoot the control module.

Also #2 the top not fully closed dash light has illuminated since I purchased the car... Anyone know which sensor that is?

Where is the best place to buy these sensors?

Thanks in advance

It could be a number of things. Attached is the RF section of the FSM. Try troubleshooting using the workflow/trouble diagnosis. Some of these sensors are just stuck and need a good cleaning. If it's time to replace, I would go with OEM.

Good luck and be sure to post the resolution as so many of these convertible top threads go unanswered.
