Unhappy My poor Z

I have used everything imaginable to vent my frustration and I'm still ready to kill someone. Backin out of my drive way and the bottom hinge on the gate dorr swung out hit the car. Picture tells the rest of the story.

I just got an estimate today of $400. ??? Does that seem low to anyone else. Now I'm not just worried about the damage but the work thats gonna be done. The guy is my dads friend so I don't think he'd try to srew me. But maybe just taking the easey way out.

My concern is how that paint flakes off the metal. I got into a fender bender with my BMW and do not remember the paint flaking like that.

my paint flaked like that...400 is a good price (not too low)

only concern you should have is the paint match...its not as easy as usinng the paint code WV2....just make sure he takes his time matching the paint...otherwise the body work is simple...it doesnt look like u need to replace the fender or bumper

That is probably a fair price, if they are fixing, rather than replacing the parts.

My Roadster was backed into at 4 weeks old. The price was $1383.58 to repair. My rear bumper was replaced and the rear fender fixed. The rear fenders are welded on, so it's less complicated to fix rather than replace. SB color, came out good.

Good luck...I feel your pain.

PS...I was told by a friend, who is an Insurance Adjuster, that the collision center that I took my car to was on the high side, but they did excellent work.

I agree. The paint on the Z's are **** poor. I have some small areas on my car that the paint has chipped off. Areas like the edges of the trunk. The paint on the front bumper of my old 2003 350Z redline was starting to show slight hairline cracks. This was just after having the car for 4 months. I think we are all in heap big trouble in a few more years.
