Hey kids,

I've been reading around and thought I should introduce myself. I picked up a 2007 Touring model in the San Marino blue. I've been lusting over that color since I saw one at a local traffic light a couple of months ago.

I live in Kentucky, but I visited friends out in Colorado in August. While I was there, I rented a 350Z from Hertz for the week. I drove it from Denver, over to Ouray and the Black Canyon, then up through the Colorado Monument, down through Aspen/Independence Pass and through the Rocky Mountain National Park, then back through Boulder and Denver before prying the keys out of my hands and getting back on a plane. I seriously would have driven back if I didn't have the round trip ticket.

Anyway, the model I rented was a touring model in the light silver color, but it had an auto transmission.

Since I returned from that vacation in August, I didn't drive my old car once--just rode the Ducati to work everyday. I kept thinking about the 350, so I finally decided to just look for one. I found one the color/combo I wanted up in Long Island, so a couple of weeks ago a buddy and I flew up and drove it back home to Kentucky.

I'm a fan of the rims that came on it, so probably no change there for a while. I'm not sure what else I should do except tint the windows.

I'm used to the mod bug with my Ducati Monster, which still gets first dibs, but I'm sure some $ will trickle down to the car at some point.

Way to go. I've been satisfied with the stock wheels since they went to 5 spoke. That doesn't mean I don't drool on some of the aftermarkets I've seen.

That would have been my color choice too...if it had been available a year earlier. A big congrats!

Nice. My story is similar. I rented a Daytona Blue from Hertz for a week last summer. I stayed local, but drove all around the Bay Area. Still thinking about it after several months, I figured I should take the plunge full time. Here it is.
