I installed my Delphi SkiFi 2 this weekend and ever since I have had bad reception problems. I even have my satellite antenna on my roof in front of my rear washer fluid sprayer. It cuts in and out constantly. I had the people at XM resend a signal 2 times and called them about it and they said the only thing to really do now is bring it back which means I have to uninstall the whole thing which will be a pain in the ***.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

 

is it hardwired or FM modulated?


i just got the roady 2( i bought the skifi 2 but i couldnt shut the NAV door with it in there so i had to get a smaller one)


i turn to like 88.1 FM and it sends the signal. i get a little static my antenna is in frot of the 3 gauges on the dash

 

It is actually fixed now. There was a problem with the unit itself. I returned it and got a SkyFi1. Mine fit great in my dash but I did cut a hold in my nav compartment bottom so that the recepticle bottom would be below the nav comp.

Also I am not using the FM modulator. I hardwired it by going into my AUX output on my Alpine and used an AUX connector coupled with a stereo to RCA jack.

how did you get the cradle to fit in the NAV compartment? cut the nav compartment?


or does it not use the cradle?



i really like the skyfi2 but now that i got the roady 2 i like it aswell


with the orange backlit and the dark grey faceplate it matches perfect!

 

the wireless FM modulators suck!


i get static no matter what channel i use

im gonna use the wired modulator plus i gotta move my antenna

Yeah I had to cut a 1"x4" hole in the nav comp to get it to fit in there. Fits great. I have my antenna now in the same location as you. My old unit was bad so no matter where I had it, it was bad reception.

 

My advice is to some way use an AUX connection if you can. I have crystal clear reception with how I have it run
