I have a Clarion VRX935 that im planning on installing, along with the SRK5 Clarion centre channel

I pulled this pic off Clarion's website. Which dash kit is this? Im assuming the lower pocket is a custom job

With the Metra and American International kits, do u get all the pieces to choose between single din or double din install in the one pack? Are there any other kits on the market?

Also another question off topic. I remember seeing a thread with pics of an aluminuim trim for the airvents either side of the nav compartment, they looked like aluminuim overlays. I cant seem to find them with the search function. Does anyone know the ones?

 

my guess would be custom.

 

I may not be, the Din brcket for the center channel may have a trim plate around it.

Look also at metra and scosche, I theink they also have two kits, one DD and one din w/ a pocket. Check out Alpine---they now have a din center channel speaker

 

if you can't find it, believe me go with the American International kit over the Metra. I got the Metra for free from Crutchfield and the quality and fit is HORRID compared to the AI kit.

just looked at the scosche kit, and it looks like the centre channel speaker will fit in that cubby. But is it just me, or does the top din look larger than a standard single din?

does anyone have a pic with the scosche kit installed? These kits are pretty cheap, if there is a site i can buy both AI and scosche from ill buy both

 

I had the Scosche kit, and the quality and fit is terrible. I bought the AI kit instead, and it's much better. Save yourself the time of having to switch them out and go with the AI.

Here's some pictures of the Clarion unit in my Z. It has the Scosche dash kit. The fit is great and I've had no problems with the entire setup.

 

buy.com carries the AI kit for ten bucks.

 

the lower pocket is smaller than the Metra kit. I have the Metra kit and it fits fine.. quality is pretty good..

 

Is Clarion adding navigation to thier fold out monitors?
