It won't work with the stock BOSE system BECAUSE
you have to take out that BOSE stereo in order to
install the N2...it's a motorized flip-out design.
As far as XM Traffic updater, can't comment cuz I don't have the feature
on mine.

Mine is working with the stock Bose amp & speakers. But if you're looking for audio power forget about. Loudness goes up to 62 and for me this is acceptable, I'm not an audio freak, I bought it mostly for the Nav feature. My opinion is for the younger people, and or audio freaks, the stock amp and speakers will not be acceptable. XM Traffic Module is an optional unit that needs to be installed either now or later. It's not a big deal to install from what I can tell. Yes, it will also work with your stock stuff. Buts thats all I know, I did not opt for it at my original installation. I THINK you need to pay the monthly XM radio fee, plus another 9 or 10 dollars a month for the traffic feature. Me, I'd rather have the back up camera. I would probably use that more.

From what i hear, the NavTraffic is a complete waste of money. I have heard this from multiple people, but have not tested the feature myself.

Depends on where you life and what hours you drive. If you're commuting to LA, Chicago, or NYC daily the traffic navigation feature would allow you to route around slow traffic conditions.

I swapped out the stock speakers for Infinity ones which are pretty efficient. The 22 watts that the Pioneer unit put out was plenty loud but the amplifier was straining to hit some of the louder parts. I tossed in a couple of amplifiers and now it's loud enough to peel the paint if I crank it up ... way too loud. I went in and cranked the gain down to minimum on both amps so now I can stand it when I turn the volume control a bit further around (45 out of 62 is bumping).
