Default No left sound channel??

The other day I was driving my car and I noticed something was different about the way the music sounded, finally I realized there was nothing come from the driver side of the car. Everything in the car is stock. I transferred the balance all the way to the left and heard nothing at all. This was with a cd playing, I went the radio and everything was normal. I assumed it was the burned cd. A few days later different cd, original not burned, same thing happens. Put balance to the left and nothing, before I put it back to center, I hit a bump on the highway and all the sound comes back to normal. Now I have noticed that it comes and goes as I hit bumps but not everytime. Anyone else have these problems, I'm assuming its the head unit but is there any other type of audio controller between the head unit and the speakers? Bose 6disk btw.

The same exact thing happened to me. You need a new head unit. Take it to nissan and throw a fit until they replace it (don't let them pull that crap where if it doesn't happen while they are test driving it then they don't fix it). I made them also replace my driver's side front speaker just to be sure, but I'm almost positive that had nothing to do with the problem.

A few friends of mine(with different cars and stock stereos) have the same problem you are describing. But it only happens when they are listening to the radio. Kinda the opposite of your problem but yea. Take it to Nissan and ***** at them until they fix it.

Oh BTW if you have Bose, most nissan service department's don't cary the head unit or the speakers in-house, they will have to special order them after diagnosing the problem. So go soon because it'll be another 2 weeks before it's actually corrected.

Alright cool, so they should have at least one other person that has had this problem. I guess I'll take a ride over there this week and see what they say. Thanks for the quick response everyone, I assumed it was the head unit but just wanted some sort of an argument for the service manager.

You need a serious tune-up. What is "steaks on the glass"? Man your car is messed up.

im pretty sure he meant streaks not steaks.

I have streaks on mine too, the radio problem, no tire problems yet but only 6k miles. A million rattles in the car and my front brakes only get noisey if i dont clean my wheels at least once a week, which gets hard as to do as its colder out and i dont have a garage.

But on topic, ill just get the head unit replaced under warranty for now, I was planning on going aftermarket this spring.
