Default Sub/Amp RMS watt help

Hey guys, i've started looking into putting 2 infinty perfect 10" subs into the back of my 350z, and have been wondering how powerful of an amp I would need to power them to their fullest ability. I know that I could get a sub with either a dual or a single coil on it with 4 ohms to each coil, and that the optimal RMS for each sub is 350watts... so how many watts of RMS should i get in an amp to power these subs?

Get an amp that will put out a solid 600W RMS at 2 ohms and you'll smile all day long. Don't worry about the biggest number of watts you get buy, just get a nice quality amp to pair with them and they will sound excellent.

This is considering you get a pair of single 4 ohm Perfects.

Good Luck

does the amp need to be bridgeable for this to work?

I have a Phoenix Gold 200.4 and it pushes the speakers very nicely. I got my amp of ebay for about $250.

I have the same speakers you are talking about Infinity perfect 10.1's

No, the amp doesn't have to be bridgeable ... but if the subs are in a shared airspace box, I would definitely recommend a bridged amp.

check ebay for a jbl bp600.1 ... that will do an awesome job for you.

that memphis will work just as well. 1000W is gonna be a lot of power for those if you really crank it up.

I was looking at that amp.... powerful man, but I like it. Why at that point would I need to get the dual voice coils?

You would need the DVC in oder to get down to 1 ohm to get the most power out of that amp.

depends on the voice coils. when you parallel a pair of subs, the impedance will be half.

so if you get two single VC subs (4ohms each) .. you' parallel them for your 2 ohm load
