Default Where to Buy JL 350z Stealth Box

I am interested in purchasing the custom made JL Stealth box for 350z's, but i've only been able to locate one website that sells them w/ two JL subs in it already for a retail of 749$. Wondering if anyone knows of a website or dealer thats sells just the enclosure itself *only because i have two JLw3's*. I love how stealthy it looks, i guess thats why they call it the stealthbox

Why don't you try to get it from a JL dealer, have them remove the W3's and get a credit for them?

Better yet, why don't you just sell your old W3's to somebody and get new ones.

I have the stealth box but wish I had W6's or W7's.

Stealth Box is great I love mine. The W'3s sound just fine IMHO but hey if you can go for more do it I still enjoy having a bit of trunk space...

The Stealthbox is only available with the subs with it, it is not a box that JL sells separate. If you just want a box, hit up ZEnclosures and then you can put whatever subs in you want. The JL box is way overpriced and the subs that come with it are subpar IMO.

Yes, SoundAdvice sell them, and yes they go by the name of tweeter on the net. You can also go to the JLaudio web site and look for the dealer Link, and locate a dealer in your area. you can find some Shops that have the empty enclosure.

Note that if you don;t buy i from a Authrized dealer, nothing will be warrated.

100% Agree, if you want to pay more just for the trunk space..Go for it.. But it is overprice and the sub are not that good.

Another vote for the Z enclosure. I have the under strut bar box and besides blocking that pass through it doesn't really consume much useable trunk space.
Plus it looks stock and blends in with the hatch area.
I have a nice 10 in there and it sounds awesome. Plus the box only cost $100.

I should also add that you should be aware of the small volume that these boxes have and the few woofers that will work ok in them. Depending on your musical preference, you may want to rethink this box.

I have 2 ten w3v3's in a Zenclosure Box. The sound is ok but I think the box is the limiting factor with these woofers. I should have done more research on what woofer would sound best in the zenclosure box I purchased.

I had a friend that had the W3's in his car and they sounded good. Not as nice or as smooth as a W6 or W7 but good enough.

Like Blayzed said, the box is the limiting factor. I've read that people have been able to squeeze W6's in this box but haven't tried it myself. I spoke with JL in 2003 about this box and bought one in January of 2004. I had the stereo shop run seperate amps to each woofer because I didn't think that I had enough juice in one amp for both woofers. Now I have my doubts and think that I'm over-powering the woofers.

Besides price, what are the main complaints with the JL box? With 2 seperate amps, the bass output in mine is already too much.

the stealthbox is , like all JL audio products, a good performer. Is it expensive? a bit, can you get similar results for a little less money? yes...but if you have money and want a one shot deal at getting nice bass into the car, the stealthbox is not a bad buy.

If you go with the zen enclosure box, just make sure you pick subs that can work in very small enclosures, two subs come to mind immedaitely, IMage Dynamics IDQ 10 and the Elemental Designs 11kv both can work in enclosures .3-.4 cub feet and still do quite well in the ultra low bass department
