Recommended audio installation shops in Maryland?
Kinda hard to find a place you can trust since lots of the generic stores basically have kids doing the work and you never know how well the wiring layout is designed or the installation is done.
Are there any shops with good, established rep in the area?
I could take it down to Myer Emco in DC where I have a reference but I would prefer to avoid that much travel and inconveniencing someone else to go that far with me whenever I drop the car off and pick it up.
Kinda uncertain about Tweeter or other chains as far as installation goes.
I would prefer a place that's an authorized seller of JL Audio equipment, but could buy the items at another store if necessary.
Thanks.

Remember, those kids were installing in their driveways even before they could drive. What are planning on installing? Any shop usually has an ace and because its a Z they should give it to him. But, if your going with JL I'd call them to see if they recommend a local dealer to you! Sorry, I'm not a Yankee and have no idea what local shop you should take it to. I just had to reply because I was once that kid in the shop and feel you'd be lucky to have me work on your car.

You know that's not what I mean, though. I mean the ones that are careless and have no concern for Doing It Right. That's why I'm looking for a shop with a good rep, because the people there do a good job.
Also, it's for my daily driver, which is a 2006 Civic sedan, not Z. =\

Talk to some local shops, pick the one you like best. If they're doing the install the salesperson should be able to work with you on price too.
There's lots of tutorials on installation, could you attempt the install?

i gotta tell you guys, i have worked at small shops, seen stuff get botched, i currently work at tweeter and see guys botch beautiful cars (and they're REQUIRED to be MECP certified), and i've seen young kids do amazing work in their driveway. As much as i love my 350, it does come apart easily and really is amazingly easy to work on. It's simply a matter of someone breaking **** out of carelessness. Ask for pics wherever you go, most GOOD installers take pics of their work as bragging rights, no pics, they probably dont give two ****s about their work they just wanna get it done

personally I would do it myself but goto tweeter in Bel air and ask for Rob. They did awesome work on my S2000. I currently had Audio Connection in towson do my QX4 --but I tell you wen I took apart my dash kit, I could ave done a better job. Tey installed my 5435 wic gave me a 3yr warranty because it was installed. Now Eclipse offers just a 1 yr warranty so wen I get my Z I will be doing it myself!
