Stock BOSS Sub...
I think i read it is 50W, the biggest problem with the stock Boss woffer is that is not really "enclose". It is just put it inthere without any acoutics. This will degrade "any" manufacture Sub.
I don't think the lack of an enclosure is the issue. Have you pulled the sub out and taken a look at it. The bose sub just looks like a cheep piece of **** when compared to almost anyother half way decent 10" sub.
The Bose subwoofer is their standard shallow mount Neo sub driver .. that is used in tons of bose designs. It is made for free air use, as it is mounted in the Z (so don't worry about the lack of box for it .. that isnt making it sound bad). The biggest problem with the Bose sub is its lack of movement .. it is unable to move enough air to play like your run of the mill aftermarket sub can.

Exactly the Bose sub is probably only 3 to 4 inches in total depth. Which leaves almost no room for cone movement.
The differnce between a 10W3V3 and the bose sub would be like night and day.

I wonder if I'll ever get tired of slamming Bose ... probably not.

That large cylinder of metal isn't the "missing" pole piece from the Bose subwoofer it's the spare VQ tuning port from the Infinity's motor.
