Change original spk.
Does somebody who have to change only the stock speakers and keeping BOSE amplifier and BOSE HU ???? So yes what a mark have to be used number of model if possible would be a aprecier!!! How many HOMS for front and the rear speakers ?? Thanks
Your first language must be French?
I think your questions are: Can you change the speakers and keep the Bose amp and HU? How many ohms are the speakers?
I don't have a Bose system myself, but I believe they use the same speakers (minus the sub) as the standard system. In that case you should be able to change just the speakers.
In the Z, the front speakers are 8 ohms and the rears are 32 ohms. Basically any speakers you buy aftermarket will be 8 ohms. That just means the rear speakers will be louder than stock and you'll have to fade the sound forward.

I have noticed (myself included) that there are a growing number of people that want to keep the Bose HU in place. I myself have the factory NAV and don't want to go around my elbow just to put in a new HU/AMP/SPEAKERS and a single speaker for the NAV voice. It's just way too much overkill for me at "this" time.
I think where we're trying to go with this, as we would see at least a quality up-grade from the stock speakers. If the front set ( 3/4" tweeter and 6 1/2" woofer are 4 ohm, then we could reaplce the 4 speakers with little or no effort. All the while we keep the factory cross-over and just swap out the speakers. In regards to the back set, well if they're 32 ohm - I'll just keep them in place. The sub, if it can be replaced as easy as the front 4 then it's on the block also.
It may not be the cure all to the bose problem, but it will at least give some level of happiness knowing that you have done some impovements to help yuo get over the sorry HU.
My desire is to replace the speakers that can be replaced with little or no effort and I would also like to add XM radio to the Bose HU. Once I've done that, I'm pretty happy for the time being - as the months go by who knows - more info will be out there.
Thanks for all the help - we're getting there.

The factory speakers are 6 1/2", and I htink anything larger width-wise would probably not fit in the rear factory locations. There is a good chance they would fit up front since you have to make a spacer ring anyways to hold any upgrades in the front doors.

Most aftermarket speakers have an impedance of 4 ohms, and not 8 ohms. The Z's front, I believe, is 4 ohms, and rear is 32 ohms...just to clarify.

I just ordered the Rockford Fosgate FNQ3146 to replace the 6 stock speakers. When they arrive and I get them installed, I'll let you know if it makes any difference.
For now I plan on keeping the stock hu, amp, and sub.
If it doesn't sound "excellent" I'll probably get a 5 channel
amp with speaker level inputs to replace the blose amp.
Next I'll change the sub.
And if it still sucks, then I'll replace the HU or get an EQ to
tweek the missing frequencies.
I also plan on using something like this software:

to get a more quantitative analysis of the improvements.
