As i removed my carputer the other day, i was thinking how much easier it would make it if someone made cases for us just to bolt everything into. Therefore, I was wondering if anyone would be interested if i were to start makind custom cases from lexan that would fit our passenger compartments....

What does everyone think?

Lexan is very similar to plexi, but has better heat resistance. Both are clear. I can have an official quote on monday, but they wouldnt be too bad at all. About same as a mid-range desktop case id imagine.

Shuttle has just announced that they're getting into the car computer business just this week. The problem with computers and plastic is that plastic doesn't block EMI/RFI which can cause interference into the computer and out of the computer to the rest of the car - the computers there, your cell phone, your satellite or RF radio ....
