Default Tapping power from my homelink to Passport

Just received one of Mike's mounts for my Passport 8500. Now I need to figure out how to tap the power from my homelink to it. I know I'll need an RJ11 cable to splice into the homelink power wire. Just not sure how to do this exactly. What color are the power wires? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks!

In the car prior to the jack:
Red/White = Battery
Green/Yellow= Ignition

In the mirror itself:
Black/Orange = Battery
Black/Red = Ignition
Black = Ground

Nexx let us know how the results are since I just ordered Mike's Mount but waiting on either the invisicords or doing the hardwire myself.

Invisicord...what a joke...I cannot beleive that people pay that much for a phone cord with pins on it.

we do cause some people would rather not bother with splicing or rigging their own pins. to most of us, $15 is change found between the cushions of our couches.

I have to agree some of us are not electrically inclined to start cutting wires but ask me to do install mechanical mods and I will do.

update: go the invisicord. must say, this is the most stoudt RJ11 cable ive ever seen. wires are nice and thick and the black color blends in with the mirror making it as stealthy as possible install was a friggin breeze. remove the cable from the mirror. stick the two invisicord pins into proper pin placements in the power cable. plug it back into mirror, use the zip tie they provide to neatly tie the cabling together. turn the car on and test. took a whole 3 minutes. i would highly recommend this product. its nice clean, easy install with no cutting involved.

I was very leary of splicing into the homelink wiring on my Z so I just ran the wire from the fuse box. It was pretty easy getting into the fuse box and doing an "add a fuse". Then I just ran the wire around the trim.
The fuse box is by your left foot. If you remove the kick panel trim it's right there.
