went to plug in my MP3 player in the outlet/cig lighter under the front cupholder. No power. i have an '04 Enthusiast. went and looked under it. theres not even any wiring attached to it! WTF is that? is that on all z's? why would it be there and not hooked up? it's an option for the owner to decide to plug in? any ideas

The other one inbetween the seats works,but.....

 

Maybe it had never been hooked up at the factory in the first place!

Take it in and see what your dealer says.

Did you buy the car brand new? '04.5 is when they added the extra outlet, so maybe your Z was at the beginning of the factory workers learning curve...

 

send me your VIN number and I can check your build date...

 

if you're not the original owner, perhaps the previous owner unplugged it and used it to power something else (like a radar detector).

 

You can verify mine if you may. I always wanted to know my build date.

well,there isn't anything for the previous owner to unplug. i can't see a wire anywhere under there
