Question IPod Adapters for 06 Z

Wzup guys, has anyone tried this ipod adapter. This site has the details

http://www.icarkits.com/product_info.php?products_id=32

How it Works
The PA11-NIS connects directly into the satellite radio port on the back the factory Nissan 350Z 2006 stereo. By connecting directly to the radio, this adapter is able to provide the digital quality music from your iPod that you are looking for.

In addition to the CD Quality Sound, this iPod car adapter allows you to control the iPod from the factory radio and steering wheel controls. The track buttons on the radio and steering wheel can be used to move to the Next / Previous Songs on the iPod. This allows for easier playlist / album navigation, and a safer driving experience. The stereo volume and bass / treble controls will still be able to control the music as well. The iPod scroll wheel and all of it's controls will all continue to function normally.

The PA11-NIS also powers and charges the iPod while in use so you will never have to worry about charging your iPod before using it in the car. This adapter works with any iPod that has a standard iPod plug on the bottom.

Installation
The PA11-NIS is designed specifically for the stereo system in the 2006 Nissan 350Z and comes with everything you need. The adapter plugs directly into the back of the radio, and sits in the open space behind the radio. From the adapter, a single cable runs to wherever you would like to have the iPod.

Once connected, the iPod is accessed by pressing the CD button twice. You can install the adapter yourself, or take it to any local car stereo shop / dealership to have installed. If the vehicle has satellite radio, it will need to be disconnected.

The PA11-NIS adapter also has a universal RCA input on it which can be used for any audio signal. Any MP3 or audio device can be connected to this adapter in addition to the iPod.

Let me know if this thing really works

If you have the base (non-Bose) stereo, there is no satellite radio port so it won't work.

With only 9 (and counting) posts, I'm assuming you are a newbie. A quick search of this section will reveal numerous threads about iPod connectivity.

I have an '06 and was told that the PAC unit will work.. but the awkwardness and inflexibilty of setting up playlists, etc (per the PAC instructions) pushed me towards getting a new head unit... and for the cost of the PAC unit you are almost 1/3 the way to a new HU.

I've got the base stereo along with the PA11-NIS and it works perfect. Steering wheel controls and all. Crutchfield has it for $10 bucks cheaper, but apparently they're out of stock. Mine works like a charm and I love it! Installation isn't so bad in hindsight. It's just kinda scary rippin apart your console.

I had a non-bose and used Soundgate's AUXNISS which goes through your CD changer... and, its for sale! I'm turning my car in soon, and parting out this electronics. Go to my for sale post here:
