Default Anyone with JL 8w7?

I'm currently piecing together my system and wanted to hear some feedback from anyone who has just a single JL 8w7 in their car. How does it sound? Do they hit low enough that they don't sound like just a good mid bass woofer? I'm not a fan of huge loud bass but rather sound quality. I'm just not sure if the 8w7 can hit low enough for all types of music. Anyone?

i would most likely be doing the install myself, but there is a chance i might have Nazar at wickedcas make me a custom corner trunk box. You are definately satisfied with them though? Do you think only running one 8w7 would not be enough?

I'm running dual 8" subs as well. I love it It's the perfect amount of bass without it distorting the highs and making your car sound like the civic down the block.

hahahaha exellent way to put it. My only hesitation with going with this setup is that I was thinking of only one 8w7 and the both of you have 2. I know they are great subs.....but are they THAT great that one would be enough to completely enhance the music

Why not just do a single 10W3 in the corner box? From what you describe, I'm sure it'll be more than enough for you without going to the W7 series. I have a single 10W1v2 in the same corner box and it does just fine for me.

10w3 is the biggest you can put in the corner box.

i think the 8w7 would sound better than the 10w3 and it would definately still be doable in a corner box. I'm just in love with the w7 series to be honest. I heard the 10w7 and that was a ridiculous sub. I think the 8 would be just what i'm looking for but I worry that it won't hit deep enough for music like techno and such.

Talk to Nazar about it as far as fit. It's the depth that might not work out (plus volume is pretty low with that box).

Yeah I sent him a message from the website but I haven't hear back from him. I'm assuming that it will not fit since the volume is only like .5 or something close to that which is crazy low for that sub. I may to have fenture into the world of fiberglassing and make one myself
