Default Impressions on Tv Tuners?

i just ordered a head unit and screen, jvc avx2 and performance teknique 7" lcd( same as farenheit i think) and 03 cubby, and was wondering if tv tuners are worth getting, how is the reception? i orderd the jvc c1000 tuner which uses diversity antennas, it won't ship till tomorrow so still have time to cancel the order, any advice would be great........ can't wait

reception bites ballz. you get one or two fuzzy uhf channels and maybe couple of very fuzzy main channels. Not worth it, imo.

Yea, i haven't had much luck with it either but where I lived at the time you couldn't get it in the hose either. You could try it.

I have Cable TV reception in my car but it's rather expensive and unorthodoxed.. but it's excellent quality and i get every cable channel I subscribe to at home.. It's like i'm sitting at home surfing the tube..

All you need is a CarPC, DV-DO router, DV-DO wireless broadband service and a Sling Box

I can stream my local cable stations to my car anywhere in the country/world they have DV-DO coverage..

thanks alot guys, i guess ill have to cancel that order, btw what brand did you guys use and what kind of antennas?

I have a clarion unit in my car and in town the channels dont come in that well but on the highway away from everything its pretty good. I use it to watch football and other sports after leaving a game, or to keep my gf from having to talk to me on road trips.
