Default Thanks...however the instrusciotions do not show nav unit

It was originally posted on another Z site but it appears it is no longer available at its original link. As luck would have it, I had saved the steps as an Adobe Acrobat file. Note that this was for the 2003 Z dash.

Assuming Scafremon will not object, I have placed a copy of the Acrobat file here for downloading:

The use of a magnetized screwdriver will help.
Thanks,
I really appreciate your effort, however, the instructions do not show stock nav unit. I cant simply remove a rubber mat to expose the screws, I have all the controls for the nav and the screen in there. Would appreciate some further input.

I believe that you just pry the control panel up and disconnect the wires to expose the screws. Pretty sure it's just held down by clips.

Some of my pics here (click - free reg required) might help as well, for running wires to the doors, power to the stock location, and doing a custom fiberglass box. Figured I'd add it here in case it helps anyone out.

Hi,

The how to disassemble the dash link seems to be dead. Does anybody have an updated link to the dash disassembly page?

I just bought a 2003 350Z performance. I am looking to add some bass to my system and would rather not take up any of the already limited trunk space. Does anybody have any ideas? I already own a 10 Kenwood Subwoofer.

Installing OEM navigation into a non OEM navi equiped car is a lot of work, and honestly more work than its worth. I would suggest that you invest your money into a aftermarket one, you will have more options, and I think you will be more happy with it.

I saw someone do it on the g35 forums (g35driver) and he literally had to take his whole car apart, everything was basically down to the metal from what I remember. Plus, the wiring, oh man, thats a whole other story haha.

Err, here we go, found the link =)

http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37555

Dealerships will also not install OEM navi into a non navi equiped car, it is just way too time consuming and difficult. If you really want the OEM setup, I think your best option is to trade in your car for one that has it =(

Hope this gives you a little insight!
