Is it possible to retrofit a 06 350z with bluetooth?
I'm looking to add the factory bluetooth to my 06 350z GT. I figured since the 07's now have it there would be something out in order to add it to the previous years, but I haven't come across anything. Or for that matter at least all the part numbers needed to buy the stuff from the dealer. I imagine it can't be much more than the wiring, a microphone and chip or something.
Anyway, I've searched around for something like that but haven't found anything. I wasn't sure if anyone else had come across any info like that. I know you can add aftermarket stuff but I don't want the factory controls and look.

oops, meant i DO want the factory controls and look. Want to be able to answer the phone by pushing the button on the steering wheel and everything. Possibly be able to have it pop up who is calling on the nav. screen. Maybe it's still to early for something like this to be out.

Thats what I thought, just giving you a hard time. Good luck with it! I was told I couldn't even add cruise control and steering wheel radio controls to my base

If I didn't already have factory nav. I'd probably look into something like that. Since I have most everything on the car I'd rather just try and find a way to integrate the bluetooth systems that are on the 07's. I'm sure eventually there will be a write up on how to do it once more interest gets out there. Just want a clean factory look in the car w/ some extra goodies, lol

Why not just get a new double-din head unit like the Pioneer Avic-D3...you can add the bluetooth adapter which would allow you to store your contacts in the headunit, make calls handsfree, play DVD's in your Z, have in car Navigation, iPod connectivity, XM or Sirius satellite radio, and a whole lot more.

And, I will try to put in cruise control when I get a chance...
I will need 1)clutch switch, 2)brake switch, 3)maybe ecm with CC unless I can somehow flash the current ecm with CC function...
I don't know about VDC, but audio control and cruise control are definitely feasible...
