Default stupid question but i cant find right answer searching

Ive noticed with people are doing the farenheit cubby install, everyone has been switching back to the 03 cubby...

can it be done with the 04.5 track cubby? the one where the door stays outside and doesnt go inside? If it works id rather do that cause my console is painted, and i HATE the cheapness to the 03 cubby doors...

i think it will work fine i think you have to fab. it a little so its at a better angle though. And you just have that door up kinda in the way all the time other then that it should be fine. Bump for somebody thats done it though.

i heard same thing, but theres gotta be someone out there thats tried and either succeeded/failed

I wouldnt mind the door blocking the top part of the screen, im 6'3 and i still sit low enough in the seat to see in the cubby just fine so i know i wouldnt have a problem with it

I don’t think there is anything preventing you from using your 2004.5 cubby. Of course swapping a 20003 cubby is easier since the 2003 cubby’s pocket unscrews and you simply attach the LCD screen in the pocket’s position using the existing holes and screws. It couldn’t be easier.

If you use the 2004 cubby, you must cut off the back-pocket and fabricate a frame to hold your LCD screen. I’ve seen this done on a 2004; it’s only that is was a lot more work and expense than swapping in a 2003 cubby.
