Which Subs to get? alittle help.
Alright I'm running the Alpine w205 with a Alpine - V-Power 400W Class D Bridgeable Mono MOSFET Amplifier with Adjustable Crossover. And I'm adding a Zenclosure under the strut that holds 2 tens. which tens should I pick up?
1.) Alpine - 10" 500W Single-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer
2.) Infinity - 10" 250W Dual-Voice-Coil 8 Ohm Subwoofer
3.) Kenwood - 10" 300W Single-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer
4.) Pioneer - 10" 600W Single-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer
5.) Rockford Fosgate - Punch 10" 500W Dual-Voice-Coil 4-Ohm Subwoofer
6.) Sony - 10" 300W Single-Voice-Coil Subwoofer

first off, there is no such thing as a bridgeable mono block... the term mono means one, and you need 2 channels to bridge anything.
out of what you have listed, i would go with the alpines, based on your amps power output.
if you look at any other subs though, which i suggest, look for either single voice coil 2 ohm drivers, or dual 4 ohm coils,

i would run 2 each Revolution design audio classics
they will sound better

get louder
than anything you mentioned
i can get you sick pricing on them as my friend owns the compnay
Classic Series Subwoofer
They were designed and built to be small sealed enclosure SQ subwoofers. When we tested them in small ported boxes we were extremely pleased. When tuned to the mid 30's they have a flat response. They are built off the same concept as the Alpha series. They offer a good amount of output with no distortion. The can accurately reproduce any bass note with ease regardless of what style of music you fancy.

mono block amp is 1 channel
lets say your using a box with one sub, and the box has 1 speaker input terminal, the sub is a svc , wire + & - speaker leads from amp output to enclosures speaker input terminal , than from enclosure terminal to - & + sub voice coil
lets say that you now bought a new sub for the same amp and same enclosure but the new sub is a DVC
process is run speaker - & + wire from mono amp speaker output terminal , to enclosures -&+ single terminal , than inside box you will take the single box terminal that has 1 male end + and 1 male end - and you will run 2 + wires off + terminal and 2 negative wires off - speaker box terminal , now hook up the 2 - speaker leads one to each - marked voice coil , and run the 2 + speaker leads one to each positive marked voice coil

2 of these would work nicely in a Zenclosures box with about a pound of polyfil. With only 400 watts RMS they will be a hair under powered though.
If I were you, I would get 1 really nice 10" in a single Zenclosures box. I feel you will get better performance out of your 400 watts RMS. More info on your amp would help.......is it 400 watts rms at 4 ohm, 2 ohm, is it 2 ohm stable? how about 1 ohm stable?

they have been surrounded by some shady stuff as long as they have been around. including scams, lies, a rediculously high failure rate (still have a high failure rate with all their products...), and the rediculous things they claim in their online advertisemets
look around for some used stuff that is in good shape. are you set on two 10"s, or would you consider a single 10"? i have a diamond D6MKII that i could sell if you could go with a single 10".

they have almost a cult following of people that stick with them for the first few years after they hear about them, and a few people that swear by them, butif you stick around them long enough you will hear some stories...
there are several people who have bought into pre-sales from them who never recieved their product, or their money back. there is their failure rate which was up in the mid to high 60% for a while...
and their online advertisements are just laughable if you can pick up on their BS (which should be easy for most people), but some people still buy into it...
their products are definitly not the worst out there, but as a company they have a real bad rep IMHO. and that keeps me from doing any business with them. not to mention the fact that they still are far from the best bargain out there.
