Ok, this weekend turned out to be pretty disappointing in terms of procurement. I ordered the amp install kit and amp, but the kit didn't even ship (ordered it on Thursday last week, 2 day shipping!), and the seller I bought the amp from is no longer an ebay member, so who knows what the hell is going to happen with that.

ANYWAYS... I canceled the amp kit, and am now looking at another. With the Alpine MRV F340, I want to run the fronts on 1 & 2, and in the future a sub on bridged 3 & 4. Will I need a 4 awg kit for this, or will I be fine with an 8 awg kit? Is it detrimental to run a larger gauge power wire than you will need?

As I said on the first page:

Ideally you should use a 4awg kit, but you can get away with an 8awg kit AS LONG AS you keep your inline fuse near the battery at or below 50amps. Just know that you may blow this fuse if you are running your 3-way system at full volume levels. DO NOT use more than a 50amp fuse in a 8awg kit.

I am looking at getting a 4 gauge kit from knukoncepts and it comes with a 120A fuse. I should be good to go with this running the amp, components and subwoofer? Just want to be sure I am not going to fry anything here.

Nope, you should be good to go with that kit.
