I have a pair of 10" Kicker Comps I could sell ya for $300. Barely used.

I am personally looking to purchase 2 JL W3's, they certainly aren't budget subs though I guess.

If you are trying to get the best bang for the buck bass with a $500.00 budget I would spend more money on the amp and less on the subs. A $170.00 amp will usually not have enough power to require $190.00 subs, no matter what the manufacturer rates it at. When it comes to amps you get what you pay for. I have probably installed over 100 Memphis PR series subs over the past few years, and for the price (about $60.00 each) they are great speakers. If you were to go with something like those, you will have more money left to buy a bigger amp which will get you more/better bass. This setup would outperform the Type R's and the Kenwood amp all day long...

you can get kicker comp VRs for cheaper than 300..your price is a rip off. Actually, you can get TWO brand new 2007 model comp VRS for 160 shipped.

O series or even K series would be a good choice for you and probably in your budget range.

I personally use 2 x 11ov2's and absolutely love them.

Well hey, whatever. My co-worker is buying them for $250. $250 for 2 brand new subs I think is pretty good. Just wanted to give the guy an option before my co-worker comes through with the money
