Default Advice: Looking to replace my headunit

Hello all,

I hate the stock system in the Z, it just sucks. I am usually not a fan of audio and all. but the Z is horible in that dept stock. I have been looking at many different models, and its come down to a certain style/features that I want.
  • Bluetooth
  • DVD player
  • 6" screen or what ever fits (none flip up)
  • No Nav ( I have a track Model Z)
  • touch would be nice

Thanks you guys...

P.S. if someone has one for sale in that kind of specs PM me.

I just bought the Kenwood DNX8120 from Nazar (sponsor on sight) which has nav. I'm pretty sure the DDX812 is the same or similar unit minus nav. The Bluetooth is awesome. You might send a PM to Nazar and see what he could do for you. I put mine in using the stock Bose speakers and there are so many sound adjustments that you can really make the stock sound decent. At least I think so anyway.

If you want bluetooth, touchscreen, DVD, and no nav the DDX812 is the way to go. Best one on the market by far IMO.

I don't think you are going to find a setup with Bluetooth for under $600.

The Kenwood DDX512 can be had for under $400, and BT added later if you want to go in stages.

If you don't care about NO NAME then this might be a good one, and actually has GPS, BLUETOOTH, REAR CAMERA etc under $500

I've heard most people haven't had many problem with this companies products, but don't know of anyone with the touch screen...

I mean, some people have gone to Jensen, if so, might as well go with no name Japanese lol.

Stay away from mp3playerstore. They are complete junk. I bouth a motorized lcd from them for $100. At first I tried to risk it saying i might get lucky. This lasted for about a month until their junk started breaking. I am looking at the eclipse avn6620, can get them off ebay for about $850 shipped, but if $600 is too much for your budget, you might have a hard time looking.

You still have to add the Bluetooth module to the Pioneer which is about another $180.00

He speaketh the truth. I had to get the ipod module as well and plan on getting the backup camera cuz god knows a Z needs one, but if you dont mind using part of a half months pay to get one shouldnt be to bad. Its progression that matters.
