Hi,
Anyone do anything with the blank switches next to their heated seat rocker switches? or the ones to the left of the steering wheel that are not being used??
I found that they are a standard size in tons of nissan's. So today i found these two out of a 1998-2000ish Pathfinder.

TOYOTA ROCKER SWITCH THAT ALSO FITS:
http://www.rallylights.com/hella/swi...ted_rocker.asp - at the bottom of the page. Yep, says Toyo part, but it fits.

THIS PIC IS THE TOYO SWITCH IN AN 05+ XTERRA:

THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE. I have a couple of ideas to use these for.

I plan on "stealthing" these switches out! you can easily sand them down with some 400 grit sand paper and then spray paint them again.
see these pics from the Xterra forum. I have an 08 X also.
STEP1:
1st pic - Is midway sanded down. Need to keep sanding.
STEP2:
2nd pic - Paint process
STEP3:
3rd pic - INSTALL.

here is the finish product in my Xterra.... you can see the slots/blanks for our Z are the same.
from the wire diagram you can see i have continuity over connection points 1 and 2 labeled under "POWER"
wire #1 - red/white
wire #2 - white/black
the others will take some work since they are AUTO power and not a simple on off switch.......so i didn't care for that... i just hooked up wires 1 and 2 and capped and stowed the rest of the wires.
plan on doing the Z next.... stay tuned...

Great Thread Jason.
I plan to use the blank switch next to the heated seat rocker switches to power my Garmin GVN 53 and in-dash Fahrenheit screen. I'd like to use a lighted rocker switch.
