Question upgrading sound system secretly--HELP!!

ok so it is no secret that the stock sound system in a base 350z BLOWS!! however i did recently have my ears irrigated and it sounds about 10% better. still needs a lot of improvement (car, not my ears).

here is my dilema that i would really appreciate some help, comments or advice regarding: i want to upgrade the sound system in my car, but i don't want it to be visually noticeable. i live in an upscale urban neighborhood that is ravaged by jackass punks that break into cars and steal ANY aftermarket equipment. i got completely ripped off in both my truck and previous car. got an alarm on the car and they have attempted 3 more times, and have only succeded in damaging my windows and door jam (scratches and dents).

i really need a subwoofer, but dont want anyone to know i have it. unfortunately i will have to keep my stock radio and just upgrade with amps and speakers. what are my options? i do not have a garage. the best i can do is lock and alarm my car. i do have window tint, but it isnt anything a flashlight can't penetrate.

help!

I just put in a $30 wallmart sub in the stock sub location, put an amp under the glovebox, wired up to the stock stereo. Works well.

For subs, you could go with either the glove box sub or the corner enclosure from Nazar, both of which should be completely out of sight.

+1 on tht and also for your amps you could just install them in your pass glove box or in the space behind your dirvers seat if your going with the corner box or mayb the under strut box

or you can get a custom sound box, if you dont mind spending some money. Honestly thats the way i did mine. IF you want i can send you some pictures if you pm. and maybe willing to sell you the box sense i want to get bigger subs. Right now i have 2 8" jl audio subs in it and all i can say they hit like almost two 10" subs that are just 8"s.

I have had ithe box in my car sense dec. of 07 and every car meet i go to and people look into my car there like??? were the subs at??? lol thats how you cant even tell there their.

If using a stock head unit do what i did...get a remote power adapter and a line out converter... these will let you use an aftermarket amp. Then you can buy an under the strut or even corner box to hold your sub while your amp is safely behind the glove box. GL and jackass punks FTL!

i bought an glove-box enclosure from Wicked CAS and put it behind driver seat. one amp in glove box, one amp underneath the passenger seat, with infinity speakers (but with OEM covers). Sounds good to me. oh, and i have a detach-able face single DIN clarion. It looks completely stock.

I have mine where the spare tire would be under the floor mat, completely invisible
