im stuck between the eclipse avn 6620, the pioneer f90bt and the kenwood DNX8120
i know the kenwood is probably the best but i dont know if it justifies the extra $300
if you know of something different then im all ears

I would stay away from pioneer. these new f series are nothing but empty promises. Search Pioneer forum and read people's opinions.

All the devices you mention are good units. If the GPS feature is important to you, I would go with the DNX8120 since it provides better performance (faster screen-redraws and guidance).

Is either one faster than the other (redraws, routing and “re-routing,” etc.)?

I have the eclipse navi unit 5435 installed in my lexus for over 3 yrs now.I ve updated it once with the new software disk and its never let me down..
ITs a great system the navi and software is very user friendly. Eclipse software is the same that come on Stock Lexus Navi systems...
