You betcha! The PPW with Frost leather I think makes a GREAT combo, very clean looking. And when I am driving this car, I feel mor at home than when I'm... um home lol

Props to Nissan!

I wanted the frost leather, but I could not afford the Touring model. I maxed my payment potential with a $30k car (I am also paying on a $32k truck). Perhaps in a couple of years, I'll sell this one and get a touring.

The touring model has the frost / white plastic interior all the way around ... it looks really nice. But when I compared the $38k touring (fully loaded with dealer add-ons) to the $30k Enthusiast, and after realizing that they had the exact same engine / drive train, I quickly realized that I could get use to black cloth interior. Heck, I upgraded from a 1995 Sentra to an '04 Z ... I'm overwhelmed with what I have now. The Z is such a beautiful car ... I sometimes feel guilty driving it.

Same here. I couldn't justify the exta $6k for no increase in performance. Talking about guilt, I traded a '01 Ranger Edge for the Z. I thought I was going to miss the truck but once I fired up the Z and pulled off the dealer lot I haven't thought twice about it. I always hear "but its not practicle" from friends and family. "I always come back with "I can borrow a truck alot easier than I can borrow a sports car!"

PulpZ:

Wow, what a great point! And it's so true, if I need a truck, I just borrow one. I could have never borrowed a Z lol

I get that too. I have a family (wife and two children), and I walys get the sarcastic, "So how do you get the kids in there?" comments from people. We have an F150 Super Crew, which the kids ride in. Even when I had my 4 door Sentra, the kids NEVER rode in my car ... in fact, no one has been in my car other than me (and maybe a co-worker at lunch time) for at least three years now. SO ... getting a Z was a no brainer for me.

The ironic thing about it all is that I can fit two people in the Z AND ONLY two people in the Ranger (manual tranny). No one asked where the kids were going to sit in truck. My sister in law asked me where the kids were going to sit in the Z and I popped the hatch and showed her the sticker having the instructions on how to fit two golf bags in the back. And I then explaned to her that a small child is about the size of a golf bag so two children should fit nicely in the hatch!

I did receive the Valentine. We are in Wyoming visiting friends, so I had it shipped to their place. We are in our F150, and wont be driving for a few more days. I'll get to play then.

EXACTLY! Why else would they give us a nice cargo net with four anchor points?

Got my V1 friday.. did this install that night.. works great! Did a stealth hardwire install thanks to the guide by Rahtok.

The pic shows the remote unit above the mirror and you can see the main unit mounted on the headliner in the rear view mirror.. good angle hehe.

Nice! Don't most people mount under the mirror?

The remote display? The main unit is behind and to the left of the passenger, mounted to the headliner.

You made a good choice.. This V1 has saved me multiple times ALREADY!

An Example: I was driving down a road with construction notices, and also a 25 mph school zone.. it's hard to drive 25 when no kids are in sight... Well anyway, the V1 starts chirping 1 K bogey ahead, so I slow, then I hear the alerting "dee dee" new target, now I have 3 bogeys 1 K and two Ka all ahead.. what I find is one of those trailer mounted speed notification boxes, I pass this and now I have targets ahead and behind still 3 bogeys, soon I come up on a sheriff blasting full Ka, and half a mile later, yet another. If I had my old detector, I would have seen the box, speed up and been TOAST!

The V1 rules!!!

It's been covered here before. Just do a search for "V1" or "Valentine" and you will come across a couple of different ways to do it.

Most people either run the power from the mirror wires or from the fuse box.
