Need good 200w x 2 AMP
I'm looking for a good amp that can power around 200w x 2 at 4ohm. I was originally looking at the JL 300/2v2 ($290) was than recommended Fosgate P400-4 ($170) but have heard not such good things about Fosgate from A LOT of people. Any suggestions? Btw I am on a budget so I would like to spend know more than ~$250.

i think you'll be happy with the Elemental Design NINe.2X. regular price is $250 but sale price right now is $150. I'm using it right now for my comps up front and got nothing bad to say about it. you should look into it. they get only good positive reviews. haven't really come across a bad review yet. here's the link http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_...products_id=47
oo...in the compartment it might be a tight fit. if you can get the measurements for the compartment you should be able to see since the dimensions are given on the website. I use both the nine.2x and nine.1 and they aren't small by any means but aren't TOO big. the amp is little under 17" so if you can fit roughtly 19" into the compartment you should be fine.
something I never understood that maybe someone can help explain. I will be getting a JL 10w6v2 which is dual 4 ohm but I have read you have wire it to different ohms. What would the difference be between setting it at different ohms and would a NINe.1 be a good fit with a JL 10w6v2?

A 10W6v2 with dual 4 ohm voicecoils can be powered in 3 ways (as far as ratings go).
The best two options for you are a single channel amp driving both voicecoils (in parallel) giving you effectively a 2 ohm single voice coil (as the amp sees it), or to drive each voicecoil from a separate channel on the amp (feed mono signal from head unit), and then have 2x 4 ohm voice coils.
