Is grounding necessary?
Hi guys, I'm trying to install a aftermarket single-din h/u and have bought the Metra #70-7550 wire harness. The Metra comes with a ground wire and so does the aftermarket h/u. I have soldered up these 2 wires. I have 2 questions right now:
1.) Is grounding still required? If so, how do I ground? I know to ground on these screws shown in the pic:

2.) Do I need to perform any other procedures before I can re-connect the battery, or can I do it right away after soldering the wires together to test the H/U?
3.) After I solder the wires, can I test the H/U by re-connecting the battery even though I didn't plug in the A/C and the 3 pod gauges?
Thanks

There are two ground screws right on the letter "G" abd the other screw is the number "2" you can use them as ground,
You can test the h/u without the A/C plugged in, it will just blow cold air at full speed just ignore it.

After I solder the 2 ground wires, do I still have to ground?
Also, do I need to solder the power antenna wires?
I have a wire from my H/U that says "To the remote lead of other equipment or automatic antenna if any". I've also got a wire that says "Power Antenna" from my Metra #70-7550. Do I solder these together?
From this DIY (https://my350z.com/forum/audio-and-v...all-guide.html), it says
So does this mean I have to solder the 2 wires I mentioned above?
This is the pic of the wire from my H/U. It's not a plug... Just copper wire with some kind of head attached to it...

you do need to connect the Power Antenna (blue) to the Antenna Control cable even tho we have fixed antennas.

I did, I first it wont hurt anything if it doesnt actually do anything, but I believe the 350z has some power amplification for the antenna..

Also, how do I go about soldering them? The wire from the H/U has like a plastic piece covering it and then like a round metal head attached to it (in the pic above).
