all i did was use a long piece of copper ground clamp.. it was long and copper that has holes all down it so it was easy to adjust the size needed. plus it helped that there are already a place for screws. also i have a bunch on my truck for work lol.

I used double sided 3M tape(the red one) and it works like a charm. no crazy brackets or harness. just tape. It secures it nicely

Cool, I went out and bought some similar copper pieces from Lowes.

Really? And you can push against it to type/select without the unit pushing off the frame and falling back? Did you just put the double sided tape around the outer frame of the unit and stick it to the Dash frame?

yup, i have chubby fingers so i have to press a little harder than usual and it stays flush. Just make sure you put the tape on both sides and a little on the bottom when you place into the cubby. I'm actually transferring this set up to my new z so i'll take pics of the whole install for everyone here.

PM if you need more help

I'm going a slightly different direction with this.

I didn't like that the Magellan doesn't quite fit OEM, so I've shaved its sides, but I then removed its black bezel and cut out of it the clear lens which magnifies/refracts the orange LED on the GPS.

I am now moulding it into the '03 cubby, and am adding a strip along the top edge to blend into the plastic surround so that the 7" Magellan screen sits dead flush against its backside, and perfectly framed. When the GPS lights up, the orange LED will also - right on the Nissan bezel surround. Pure OEM - only better.

No - I used short screws with plastic retainer clips that serve both as a nut for the screws (4 - in the OEM holes in the bezel to the sides of the unit) and retainers for the screen.

I found that I also had to fashion little hard rubber 'stops' to put behind the screen in the inside of the rear of the housing. Without the black Magellan frame structure, the top of the touchscreen buckled inward a bit too much to remain stable - but putting tiny blocks behind the top corners solved that problem. It's rock solid and looks great.

Anyone have the software downloads for OCN8? Since Megaupload went down, the links don't work. I spilt wine on my macbook and had to get a pc so I cannot connect to my old hard drive.

Specifically, I am looking for all the states POI... I am relocating and only have the midwest states loaded on mine (to save space and so it runs better)... so I'd like to reload all the other states if possible. haha! Hoping someone can help or email the files for all the states' to me or something.

^ Huh? I said I have everything he needs, as in I have all the OCN8 and other associated files he's looking for or needs. I made a DVD disc long time ago with everything in it, including directions on how to install and how to customize.

This thread is for the OCN8 software to be installed on a Plenio unit that you buy yourself elsewhere. What I have is the OCN8 software you can install onto the Plenio plus extras that allow you to customize, including the boot up screen to the Nissan logo, for example. If it was discussed as being possible on the OCN8/Plenio in this thread, I should have the files and the instructions in my DVD.
