Software versions don't matter much when the screen doesn't come on...

 

Ouch the screen doesn't even power on? Yah Id be a tad bit upset. I bought mine new off Amazon for $75 so at least get him to give you the $$ back.

 

I will sell mine, with everything included and working properly, if anybody wants it. I bought it long ago with the intention of installing it in my car but I like my cubby space too much and it never happened. It's been sitting in the garage ever since.

 

See i lost my cubby space to custom gauge pod when I was boosted, now that the car is all motor, gauges are gone and cubby is back and I wanted NAV instead.

 

I just updated my software if interested. Not only is there OCN8, but I have installed Mio Pocket as well. Take a look. http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat...y-4-200-a.html figured I would share.

 

Sorry for crappy iPhone pic but favorite mod so far! Did this a couple months ago with an 03 cubby and stock software, couldn't figure out a way for the OCN8 to work unfortunately. The software started having problems at one point and I had to go in and reset the memory card and everything has been fine since!

 

Thanks for the that. Its up to us to keep support around for this system since the OEM support is all dried up.

I will be using mine for NAV almost exclusively and a Forward Looking Infared Camera for those late night drives to avoid Animals.

wow almost two years since I posted this. Nice to see its still a popular mod.

 

I can't find good deal on these GPS systems anymore. There is only one left on Amazon for $120 .... If i buy it, it wouldn't be $100 mod anymore. And it's used!

 

plenio 2100 has a video/audio input port. I lost the cable. anyone know where i can get that cable. i looked around and only found audio cable only for that port.

 

plenio 2100 is a discontinued product! If you must pay 120 dollars for this unit, i think u should shop around for 7 inches gps with bluetooth option. I think lots of brand have the similar dimensions and better quality.

 

After 2 years, I still love this mod,. However, I haven't figure out how to add a speaker so I can hear the GPS and play dvd at the same time.

 

can anyone help me. i download both file unrar the files. i copied everything in the files to my sd card.

i insert the the card into my sd slot on plenio 2100

i then turned on the gps and waited for it to boot and warning screen came up.

i went to setting

i touched the os upgrade tab

the screen pop up and asked if i want to upgrade system files

i touched the okay tap

another screen pop up and says "Can not open NK.bin file from SD memory. Please check NK.bin file."

so how do load the igo8 map to this system? thanks. the files downloaded was on the first page of this thread. thanks

 

btw second link for megaupload keep failing to download. anyone have this file please reupload this. i think the corrupted file have something to do with i cannot upgrade the system.

 

stupid me. okay i have figuired how it work. basically just insert the sd car and go to navigation function.

it doesnt work however. i got fatal error on POI. when i shut down the navigation it says error cannot exit program. and then i have to restart the plenio
