Default Navgation cubby

Ok heres the deal. I have a 2003 track model with navigation. The problem is, I;m not able to close it. There is like a hook like clip on the lid, but there isent anything it can grab by the navigation screen when you close it. Sorry if you can not understand me.

For those of you with touring /w navigation, are you guys able to close it? It gets annoying at night, and I want to buy a double din, but it will look retarded with 2 screens on.

It just looks to much for my taste when you have 2 screens lit at once. I never use Navi unless I go out of town, but thats pretty rare.

Yes you should be able to close the door. The button opens and closes the door. My guess is your cubby door motor is shot.

I see the Hook, but there isent anywhere for it to clip on to, so it can hold itself.

If it does not close I would assume that the latch mechanism is broke. You should take it to the nearest Nissan dealer and ask them to close it, this is the easiest way to diagnose, why make it hard? Fresno must have a dealership somewhat close by. If not good reason for a fun Z car drive. I always felt that the Nav door was a little flimsy but I have had no problems after 7 years.
