Default service engine soon light on after hu install

hey guys,
I just got back from a shop to install my new alpine Ina-w900.
everything works great, but on the way back I got a service engine soon light. anybody had the same experience?
I will go to autozone tomorrow to get the code checked out, but wondering if audio installing could throw the light on.

Thanks in advance,

99.9% of the time - the installer forgot to plug the connector for the triple meter back in, or the VDC control box. It could also be that they didn't disconnect the battery while doing the install. Unplugging some modules while the power is still available will trigger a CEL.

And often the SES light sorts itself out in a few days.

Until you know what the code is it is anyones guess. Have the code read and reset and then see if it comes back.

You can try disconnecting the battery, press the brake pedal for a few seconds, then reconnect it. That should reset the ECU and clear the light.

I'm planning on putting the INA-W900 in my Z, what do you think of it? I haven't seen any reviews of it yet. Did you get any of the options, steering wheel controls, bluetooth, backup camera? I'd love to know if they all work like they should.

Default alpine ina w900

so far so good.
yea, i couldn't find any reviews when i bought it.. also crutchfield was the only place selling this..
I have a 04, so i didn't need to buy steering wheel controls, but im planning to get backup camera..
this hu is really simple and easy to use. only thing i misunderstood about the product or haven't figured out is viewing dvd..
i thought the dvd screen would play on the hu's screen but when i put a dvd in i could only hear the sound.. im not sure if the hu acts as only dvd player. or.. i haven't figured out how to use it yet. lol.
After one try i didn't bother trying again since my install is not done yet, and i don't really watch dvd..
however, if it doesn't view on the hu's screen, i still have Alpine TME monitor in the cubby so it wouldn't be an issue..

I'm guessing here, but I suspect you don't get video on the screen when playing a DVD because that requires engaging the parking brake.

I just got my INA-W910 installed last night. I got the Service Engine Light and my VDC OFF doesn't work. Tried pushing the VDC OFF button and nothing happens (no light comes up saying VDC is OFF). I did some reading and apparently i can just clear the Service Engine Light by ecu reset? So I did the reset via the pressing foot pedal method. Afterwards, my VDC still doesn't work. Any way to fix?

So disconnect battery overnight and reconnecting it in morning will fix the VDC not working?
