Default SoundStream Amps any good?

Any one here have experience with this brand? I am looking to power 4 6.5 Alpine Type R's in my 350z rated at 45 RMS Watts. Don't know if I should stick to Alpine all around but the word is that Alpine Amps aren't that efficient.

The old Soundstream amps are powerful and have decent sound quality but, the company does not exist anymore so good luck getting it repaired if you have any problems.

hmm....they still have a web site http://www.soundstream.com and supposedly a new line of amps introduced this year. I don't think they are gone, but maybe they got bought off or something.

I have an old 5-channel SoundStream amp in my SUV. I bought it in 1996 and still works today. Never had any problems with it. Back in the day when I bought it, SoundStream had some of the better amps out there. I haven't really kept up with them so I'm not sure about their stuff now...

Soundstream is one of the top of the line amp companies out. Many people get caught up in the marketing hype and BS by half *** companies like Rockford Fosgate and other flashy companies that they lose sight of the real quality like PPI, Soundstream, and others.

When I was into car stereos in the 90's I only used SoundStream amps. I used about 6 different models and they were all great. The best ones were their 'Class A' amps. I had their 50 watt model and it outperformed their 100 watt regular model. I still have one of their MC300 (75x4) and deciding if I am going to install it in the Z or sell it on eBay.

Old SoundStream is poewrful and all, but unreliable. They've even been know to catch fire...

SoundStream has been junk sound quality wise ever since they got bought out, but hey at least they won't fail or burn your car down now.
