This is my delima...I want to use my JL 10W3 in this location, but there is alot of space and lots of holes. Anybody know whats the best stuff to use to reduce the size to match my sub specs (.75 cubic feet) and then to obviously air tight that area within the void?

Thank you so much for the pics!
Looks like a hole nightmare. most of hte small ones are not a problem - just use some dynamat with teh silver backing to cover them up - this will make it airtight and reduce metal vibrations..
I just had an idea. What if you took either a strong pastic bag (garbage bag maybe), or one of those huge thick toy baloons, sprayed the inside of the compartment with 3m adhesive (a light coat), fill the bag or baloon up with air, close it up, let the glue dry... that will give you a decent smooth shape. Then you can paint it with fiberglass and bind it to the sub portal area.
or if you want to be lazy, buy the best free-air sub you can find and power the **** out of it!

aggie,
Can you tell if there is a way to remove the front panel that has the opening in it? If you could remove that front piece, you could make a cutom box that uses that piece in the design with the right volume that would fit in their.

I dunno, it looks like you can fit a nice sized bottle in there, and constant refilling shouldn't be an issue as you'd only be using the juice on only tough competition. Plus access to the bottle would be simple since it's right behind you and not out back in the trunk.

I was looking at this last night. The sub braket simple unbolts. The problem is the interior panels cover the bolts. It looks like you practically have to strip the interior out to get the panel over the opening off. Once this is done however the good news is that it looks like the storage bin from the passenger side will bolt in the driver's side no problem. The door shape is identical. The only thing that is reversed is the weighted string that holds the door open. This isn't really necessary, so I'll try to install the door and latch without it. First thing I need is instructions on how to get the panels off. I hope some of you stereo dudes will document this procedure when you are doing your installs. I started pulling off panels last night but chickened out. Didn't want to break anything.
