Default JL XD amp

Anybody own one care to share their experiences?

I have a 250/1 v1 powering jl 10w3v3. Speakers are powered by the HU. I am thinking of getting a XD 400/4 to power the fronts and use the rear channels for the sub (bridge)

Just one amp and get rid of the 250/1. The specs have them bridged as 200 rms. Would it be comparable to my mono 250/1?

Jamesdean,

So the fronts are bridged to get 200 watts on each side. I am also shopping for a set of components too. Might consider the hertz like yours . I heard the focal 165k2 today. It sounded awesome but might be over my price range.

Would 75 rms (going with xd 400/4) be enough for the hertz?

thanks,
tntrac

Yep they are. No one local carried the Focals so my only choices were Alpine,pioneer,JL,Bostons..Hertz hands down were the best in the midrange price category. These listed for jsut over 600,I got them for 319.

That amp won't have enough juice to run 4ohm 200rms according to the ratings.

It will have enough juice to run 2ohm, but that would require a new sub I think.

You would be better off buying a new amp.

So I would not recommend running all the equipment in this post off of a 4 channel amp.

Good luck.

I probably buy a pdx 2.150 for the fronts and keep the Jl mono for the sub.
Thanks,
