Default No Bass

I've been driving my 03 Touring for a month now, and the subwoofer stops working on occasion. I haven't pinpointed the issue yet, and was wondering if this is a common problem.
It's the stock Bose system with a Sony head unit. It seems to work fine first thing in the morning, but when it's warmer outside, the sub doesn't work at all. I would think this might be an overheating issue with the amp, but it seems odd that 75* heat would overwhelm it.
I would also think it's a bad wiring job on the head unit, but it works every morning.
Anyone have any advice on where to start looking? Is there a decent wiring diagram of the audio system on here? I'll do some more searching on here, but let me know if you have some advice.

No, the off/on thing won't work. Wish it was that easy.

Actually after reading more on this, there appears to be a service bulletin about this on early 2003 Touring models. (mine is a 9/02 build date)

There is a small relay that doesn't work properly. Bose and Nissan's fix is to replace the unit. I'll see if I can get this done for free. If not, then I guess I'm shopping for an amp and sub to replace the ridiculous units they put in. If you've ever seen this sub, it hardly classifies as a speaker.

I'll update my findings for other owners.

ps sorry for accidentally posting in the 370Z forum.

This is a known problem. It's a nine year-old fault and that means you won't get a free repair.

this just happened to my 03 today, would replacing the head unit or replacing the sub fix this? if not is it an expensive relay to replace?
