I'm helping a friend diagnose an issue he's having with his stock bose system in his 2003 350z. His door speakers cut in and out every so often is the main issue. Does anyone have a diagram of the stock bose system that could help me get familiar with the setup, particularly the location of the amp(s). Having the diagram will help me answer questions like: I know there's one amp in the subwoofer location, is there another one?

There are 2 amps. The main one is in the trunk on the driver side. Take out the carpets it is under the black foam. You will need to take off some panels to be able to take the foam out.
The other is the subwoofer amp which is in the subwoofer cubby behind the driver seat.
It receives it's signal from the main subwoofer

Yeh yeh, I'm an idiot. My excuse is that it didn't dawn on me that the Bose system layout would be in the service manual (I'm not really an audio buff), but I should have at least checked.

 

Bose diagrams and charts in the factory service manual can be mind boggling for all but electronic-pros. But take your time to study the diagrams. Its not so difficult.
