Default New Sound System in my 2003 Z

So I just got back my 350Z today with the new system installed. Here is the breakdown:

1. Kenwood DNX9990HD
2. Custom Fiberglass Sub Box (silver) with Two 12" Alpine type R subs
3. Alpine PDX-V9 5 channel Amp
4. Alpine 6.5 component speakers front and rear.

Nice. Similar build to mine. I have the same speakers for front and back, currently replacing my alpine single din to a screen, two SWR-T10, and PDX-4.100 and PDX-1.1000. I recommend finding a storage compartment like the one behind the passenger seat and putting the amp in there. It'll look a bit cleaner and devoid your amp from sliding around too much. And to totally avoid it from sliding, I got some long screws that fit the threads on the amps stacking tabs, and screwed it down to the bottom with some washers and nuts. Don't mind the dirtiness..

Those cubbies in the Z are certainly useful and convenient when adding external amps and/or other control/power components. --Spike

The sound and volume depend upon how you set output and the amp’s power and its settings. A single SubW can produce a lot more sound and effect than a set of two identical speakers driven with a different external amp with dissimilar settings.
