My friend's dad is 60 and has a full system in his Caddy. Just don't blast it like the kids do.

I'm 38, my last car was a '98 Firebird. I had two twelves in the trunk with a 1000W amp. For my Z I went stealth, since there isn't much room in there. I got an Eclipse CD5030 off of eBay after doing weeks of research. That head unit is SICK. It has time alignment, built-in adjustable crossover for all the outputs with adjustable slope and cut-off. A seven band parametric equalizer, meaning you can adjust the center frequency and Q for each band. Bluetooth A2DP and phone connection. USB MP3 playback, and a CD player. I got an adapter to connect the Eclipse to the factory Bose amp. I kept the Bose amp and speakers, except for the sub. I ripped out the Bose sub and sub amp and replaced it with an SRQ Customs enclosure and a Cerwin Vega 102.2 sub powered by a Cerwin Vega Stealth SX500.1.

It sounds awesome, except now all those cheap *** plastic panels inside the car rattle like crazy when I crank it. Bass is almost as strong as the two 12's I had in the 'Bird.
