Default Help with Sirius Antenna Install

Well i finally got my windows tinted and it turns out they're metallic so I can't leave it mounted on my strut brace. Now I've got to put it on the roof. How has anyone been able to run the wire through the hatch?

It looks like you just cut the entire thing off there, is that right? How do you keep water from running under there and is there enough metal there for the magnet to hold it?

I cut the pigtail off and used black silicone to seal the edges. The antenna is held on with double sided tape, which was supplied with it. Even if water were to leak under it though, it wouldn't be a problem, as the underside of that hole is between the roof and rear hatch area, where water would just drain down the sides, as it does when rolling off the back of the roof.
