Default Which components? powered by 50watt headunit

I'm looking for a nice set of 6.5" components. It will be powered by an aftermarket headunit w/ 50watt.

I heard Focal and MB Quart are good but are they good if only powered by a headunit?

Looking to spend $300-$400

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Victor

when the HU says 50x4, that's peak wattage. it's more like 20 - 25 rms. spending 300 - 400 for components will get you a really good set, but running it off of the HU will not produce the sound they're capable of.

Boston Acoustics came out with a new Pro line. Focals are good from what i've read, not sure how the kevlar cones sound though. if you can get a chance to listen to PHD, they're a really good new line that came out.

the best bang for the buck HU is the Clarion DXZ745MP. kinda blingin with the different color lights but a really good sounding HU. One I always recommend.

MB quart, Boston Acoustics... However save up and buy an amp that way you can get the best sound out of your speakers.

If you want to get the best of the best get morel or rainbow.

lol, i notice that. have you listened to them both? I've never heard the 9833 with it's MediaXpander. All i've read is that it "livens" up the music. What I do know is that it only has a 1bit DAC. I'm assuming that the MediaXpander makes up for the 1bit DAC. don't know.

Infinity Reference.. you cant go wrong there..

Yes you are looking in the wrong price range.. anything in the 300+range will require an amp.

Your head unit is in the 20-24watts RMS range.

240SX, thanks for the suggestion though. I will try the headunit first and see how it is and go from there.

got a question about the amps. Is there a place to ground the 4gauge wire in the hatch or do you need to run it all the way back to the battery?
