Unhappy Kenwood DDX-7015 Help!!!!!!!

Can Anyone help me.

I just installed the ddx-7015 with the DSP. CD's play beautiful,
My problem is that i can get to the menu portion of a DVD, but I am unable to play them. wont let me hit the play button. does this have anything to do with the green parking brake wire. I just grounded it to the dash. is this correct, What should i do?

you need to ground it to the handbrake.

Naw, grounding it to the dash is fine. Try using your remote control. You can't simply touch a dvd menu to get it to play, you either need the remote or you need to bring up the "arrow overlay screen" to move the cursor on the dvd menu screen over that particular dvd's play movie button.

There are 3 modes for DVD. Full screen controls, full screen picture, and controls on the bottom. If you go to the full screen picture and touch the upper middle of the screen, then hit the botton in the top0 left (I believe) you will get the arrows and keys t onavigate a menu. Then hit Exit and it goes back to full picture. You can also touch the left or right side of the screen to go between chapters. I can't remember what lower middle of the screen does.

Yep Pat D is right..took me a while to figure this out, as the instructions are not really well writted for this HU. However, I found not all DVD's can be accessed this way. For some (mainly find musical DVD's, like live concert stuff, stuido sessions, etc), I have to use the remote to play the dvd.

Man, I can't wait to install mine....
I took out the stock headunit today. Still working on the speaker mounts.
I drove to Home depot today with the upper and center console out and basically my speedometer, rpm, blinkers, fuel gauge were not working.... also every warning light remained on.
I am guessing this is a result from disconnecting the guage pods...
